Arthur Leonard Weiss

Arthur Weiss, 77, passed away July 3, 2014, at his home in Seaside, OR. He was born May 13, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY to Harry and Lillian (Trugman) Weiss. Arthur graduated from Far Rockaway High School in Far Rockaway, NY in 1955. Arthur spent many years living in southern California before moving to Seaside, OR in 1990 and starting Weiss' Paradise Suites and Vacation Rentals. He also had a home in Portland, OR at the Oregon Yacht Club. His favorite hobby was fishing and he enjoyed going out on the river with friends or just throwing a line out in front of his floating home. He enjoyed traveling and spent a great deal of time vacationing in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Always looking forward to fishing with his dear friend Jose. Arthur loved music, especially country western. He enjoyed singing Hank Williams songs and loved to perform "gigs" with his lifelong friend Bob. He is survived by his wife, Donna; brother, Joseph; children, Robyn, Michael, Stacey, Caryn and Tina; grandchildren, Seraphina Lillian, Benjamin and Sivan; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved pets Gregory and Max. He is preceded in death by his brother Herb. A celebration of Arthur's life will be held at a later time.
