Bradley Dee Horn

Bradley D. Horn, Chief Warrant Officer 4 (Retired), passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of selfless service, unwavering faith, and deep devotion to his family. A true "servant warrior," Brad dedicated his life to defending his country and strengthening his community.

Brad’s military journey began in the United States Marine Corps, where he served with honor as a Vietnam Veteran. His commitment to the uniform continued for a total of 36 years, eventually retiring from the Oregon Army National Guard. Throughout his decorated career, he embodied the values of leadership and integrity, earning the respect of all who served alongside him.

His service did not end with his retirement. Brad was a pillar of his local community, giving generously of his time to the VFW, The Shriners, and the Masonic Lodge. Whether supporting fellow veterans or participating in lodge traditions, he remained committed to the brothers and sisters he found in these organizations.

A man of quiet but profound Christian faith, Brad found joy in the simple, beautiful moments of life. He was a lifelong fan of the Seattle Seahawks and the Seattle Mariners, rarely missing a game. However, his favorite pastime was spent in the fresh air of the Pacific Northwest. He spent countless hours walking the Astoria Riverwalk, hand-in-hand with his beloved wife, Margaret, watching the boats navigate the steady currents of the Columbia River.

Brad is survived by his devoted wife, Margaret Horn; their three children, who carry forward his lessons of strength and kindness; and five grandchildren, who were the light of his later years.

He will be remembered as a man of steady character—a soldier who fought for peace, a Mason who sought light, and a family man who found his greatest happiness at home. His presence will be deeply missed on the riverbanks he loved and in the hearts of those he served.
