Bruce Geyer

Bruce Michael Geyer, 65, passed away unexpectedly September 29, 2023 at home. He was born May 22, 1958 in Syracuse, New York and was the eldest of the late Ben and Emma Geyer.

Bruce attended Liverpool High School in New York. He married the late Paulette “Polly” (Ford) Geyer in 1989 and they settled in Portland, Oregon. Bruce appreciated the Oregon scenery and spent his entire adult life there, his most recent home in Astoria, Oregon.

Bruce was always a free spirit who appreciated family and friends. He worked in commercial building maintenance which included carpentry, painting and household repairs, and when not working he enjoyed playing guitar, researching his ancestry, traveling to family celebrations, and spending time with family and friends. Bruce was a loving and caring person always smiling and enjoying life. Those closest to him experienced his selfless acts of giving to those in need.

Bruce is survived by his siblings including his sisters Diane Woods and her husband Joseph of Vancouver, WA., Joyce Van Orden and her husband Raymond of Prescott, AZ; and brothers Steven Geyer and his wife Mary Theresa of Liverpool, NY., and Douglas Geyer and his wife Debi of Punta Gorda, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
