Carol Ann Ennis, a beloved member of the community, has passed away at the age of 77. She was born on July 17, 1946, in Aberdeen, Washington, to her loving parents Vernon and Lesta Rogers. Carol Ann's journey came to a peaceful end on August 13, 2023, in Astoria, Oregon.
Throughout her life, Carol Ann left an indelible mark on those she encountered. Her infectious spirit and warm personality touched the lives of many. She will be remembered as a successful business owner, having owned and managed Oh Larry's Restaurant and Bar in Grays River, Washington.
Although she achieved much success in her career, Carol Ann was known for being a loving wife and mother. She poured her heart into raising her children and nurturing her family with unwavering dedication and love.
Beyond her professional and familial roles, Carol Ann found joy in various hobbies and interests. She was an active member of St Mary's Star of the Sea community and cherished the companionship it provided. With a passion for literature, Carol Ann found solace within the pages of books. Nature held a special place in her heart as well; she delighted in observing hummingbirds and other birds playing in their bird bath. The beauty of flowers always captivated her attention during leisurely walks and in her own gardening. She loved shopping and enjoyed going out to lunch during her shopping trips. Above all else, spending time with cherished family and close friends brought her the greatest joy.
Carol Ann's memory will forever be treasured by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her husband Byron Ennis of Naselle, Washington; together they created countless beautiful memories that will be cherished for generations to come. Her daughters Lisa Miller of Why, Arizona, and Brandy Sperle of Nehalem, Oregon will forever carry their mother's love with them. She was also blessed with precious grandchildren that brought immense joy in her life- Brandon Miller of Spring City, Tennessee; Kylie Legler and Tori Legler of Rainier, Oregon. Granddaughter-in-law Elsa Miller of Spring City, Tennessee.
Carol Ann was preceded in death by her parents Vernon and Lesta Rogers, as well as her former spouse Larry Sperle. She also leaves behind cherished memories with her brothers Stanley Rogers, Harold Rogers, Harry Rogers, and sister Sharon Mckoon; and her nephew Greg Mckoon.
As we bid farewell to Carol Ann Ennis, let us celebrate a life well-lived. Her gentle nature, warm heart, and unwavering love have left an indelible impact on all fortunate enough to have known her. May she find eternal peace in the heavens above, where she can continue watching over her loved ones and forever be surrounded by the beauty of hummingbirds and blooming flowers.
