Clyde F Beatty

Clyde F. "Fred" Beatty, 65, of Seaside, died Wednesday, Dec 26, 2012, in Seaside.
He was born Nov. 27, 1947, in Vancouver, Wash., to Hank and Mary (Higdon) Philpott.
He served in the U.S. Army for three years, and was a Vietnam veteran.
In 1988, he married Nola Beatty in Reno, Nev. She survives, residing in Seaside.
Mr. Beatty was a restaurant owner and maintenance worker. He retired in 2008.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Family members said he enjoyed riding his motorcycle and playing with his grandchildren.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Josh and Julia Beatty, Matt and Shayra Beatty and Chris and Yazmin Beatty; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Timothy and Thomas Beatty; and a sister, Tammy Beatty.
