George Joseph De Blois Jr., 96, passed away peacefully on May 28, 2026, in Seaside, Oregon. His daughter Karen was with him at the time of passing.
Born in Trenton, New Jersey, George lived most of his life in Hamilton Township. He was predeceased by his wife Jane Elizabeth (née Rogers) and daughter Annette Wagstaff. He is survived by daughters Karen Elder and Judith Bennett, as well as seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, several siblings and many nieces and nephews.
George enlisted in the US Army in 1951 and served in Korea, rising to the rank of Staff Sergeant. He enjoyed his work as a welder at the former De Laval Steam Turbine Company and as a facilities technician in the maintenance department of the former St. Francis Medical Center in Trenton, NJ. An athlete by nature, he enjoyed sports of all kinds, especially running, playing tennis, and cycling. Even in his 70’s he often spent his weekends cycling through New Jersey. For many years, he volunteered at RWJ University Hospital Hamilton and at HomeFront NJ. In his neighborhood, he was known for his amiability and helpfulness.
George will be buried in the Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery (Section 03, Site 8656). There will be no ceremony. Your memories and condolences can be sent to Karen and Judy through this website or on Facebook.
