Geraldine Rose Picard

August 5, 2013 Geraldine Rose Picard passed away at her residence in Seaside, Oregon. She was born December 9, 1926. Her parents Bill & Rose Marie (Elton) Larsen raised her in Jewell, Oregon where she also attended schools. She married Jesse Picard July 20, 1946 in Clatsop County. Geraldine was a homemaker and a very loving mother who raised her seven children plus a few others. She enjoyed reading. Mrs. Picard was a very active member in Seaside Assembly of God. She began going to the church when it started in a tent. She enjoyed singing at the church and remained very involved through the years. She was preceded in death by her husband Jesse Picard in 2002 and her sister Pauline Moore. Geraldine is survived by her son Francis Picard of Cannon Beach, Oregon, her daughter Paullette Picard of Seaside, Oregon, son Roland Picard of Cannon Beach, Oregon, son Bobby Picard of Seaside, Oregon, daughter Gracie Picard of Blaine, Washington, daughter Marie Picard of Cannon Beach, Oregon, son Daniel Picard of Heppner, Oregon, six grandchildren, four great grandchildren and three nephews. A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery in Astoria, Oregon. Pastor Richard Ralls of Seaside Assembly of God will be officiating. A reception for family and friends will follow the graveside service at Seaside Assembly of God Church.
