Jeanne Knight Seppa

Jeanne Knight Seppa (1941-2025) was a dedicated wife, a loving mother and grandmother, and a godly mentor to so many. She went to be with the Lord at her home in Astoria, Oregon on June 26, 2025.

Was born in Roseburg, Oregon to parents, William Knight and Lota Hatfield. She was raised in Portland, Oregon and graduated from Cleveland Highschool. She attended both the University of Oregon and Portland State until she met and married Michael Seppa in January of 1968. She moved to live with her husband on the Seppa Dairy Farm in Astoria, Oregon and lived there until her passing.

She was active in her community and church by working in both the local school and church as a secretary. Her brother hired her to be the first employee of Blue Ribbon Sports which later became Nike. She volunteered in Christian Women’s Club, Christian Evangelism Fellowship, taught Sunday school, coordinated Samaritans Purse’s Operation Christmas Child locally, active with Crisis Pregnancy Clinic… Although these things kept her quite busy, her greatest passion was to see ladies grow in their relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ.

She loved gardening, scrapbooking, cross-stitch, (for which she earned many awards for at the Clatsop County Fair). In her retired years she and Mike enjoyed winter travel to the Southwest visiting family and friends along the way.

She is survived by her husband Mike Seppa, her brother Phil and wife Penny and her sister Joanne. Though she was unable to bear any children physically she ‘adopted’ many. The Lord has blessed Mike and Jeanne with 7 Children, and 27 grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held on July 12th @ 1pm.
