Julia Diane Bangs

Julia Diane Bangs was born in McMinnville, Oregon on March 3,1956 to Howard and Beatrice (Powell) Bangs. 

She was raised in Timber, Tillamook, and Knappa, Oregon. She graduated from Knappa High School and attended Portland Community College and received a certificate in business. She worked for many years at Columbia Memorial Hospital in the physical therapy department and retired from there in 2021.

She was preceded in death by her longtime partner, Kert Sumrall. They were residents of Clatsop County and members of the Moose Lodge.

She is survived by her sisters Virginia Moen and husband Gary of King City, OR, Karen Sabatine of Hillsboro, OR, and brother Richard Bangs and wife Dana of Knappa, OR and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Howard and Bea Bangs, brother, Lynn Bangs and her partner, Kert Sumrall.

She loved animals and especially her beloved dog Neeco. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the Clatsop County Animal Shelter.
