Kurt Karl Klaffke, 67, of Nehalem, OR, passed away peacefully in his home on Sunday, July 18,
2021.
He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter, which is portrayed by his many trophy elk
heads displayed throughout his home. He was always quick with a smile and loved to tell his
many hunting stories to anyone who would listen. He loved looking out over the ocean from the
front window of his home and taking hikes up Neahkahnie mountain.
He was born in Lodi, California, on July 30, 1953, the son of Waldron LeRoy and Pauline Mary
(Clow) Klaffke. He is survived by his brother Ralph Klaffke of New Zealand and his many nieces
and nephew. He is proceeded in death by his parents and his brothers Richard, Stephen and
Forrest.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation on his behalf.
