"In heavenly love abiding, no change my heart shall fear,
The storm may roar without me, my heart may low be laid,
But God is round about me, how could I be dismayed?"
Louann Copeland Riggan, of Surf Pines, Oregon, passed away May 4th, 2013. She died surrounded by those she loved. Her great humor, compassion, and joy for her work, especially for students and members of the community with special needs, improved the lives of those fortunate to be touched by this phenomenal person. Louanns life was characterized by a great love for the North Coasts natural beauty, the animals she rescued, and her family and friends.
Louanns faith was extremely important to her. Her daily study of Christian Science was the primary source of her great love, service, and compassion.
We will miss her exuberance and optimism as she greeted each day "dancing, prancing, and singing a song."
