Michael Steven Douglas, of Seaside, Oregon ascended to heaven on
March 9, 2022, with his wife at his side. Later, family and friends
came to say their goodbyes to a wonderful husband, brother, father,
uncle, cousin, grandfather and great grandfather.
Michael Douglas was born in Portland, Oregon on August 9, 1947.
He was the oldest of five. Michael was born to Donald Steven
Douglas and Doris Jean Douglas (Gilstrap). He grew up around the
Westmoreland area. He enjoyed spending time with friends playing
baseball and football at Sellwood Park. Michael attended Beaverton
High School and received his diploma. During his free time Michael
loved playing and singing with his guitar, watching football,
basketball and baseball.

Michael spent many years working with his father and brother Ron
building homes. He helped build many homes around the Portland
and Seaside area. Michael also worked for the city of Beaverton. He
then moved to Seaside, Oregon in 1995. Michael loved being close
the ocean and spending time at the “cove”. He enjoyed listening to
the Beatles, Elvis Presley (Gospel songs) and Creedence Clearwater.

One of his favorite songs was, Down on the Corner. Also, loved to go
clamming with family.

He met the love of his life in Seaside and married Caroline Primm on
September 3, 2013. They enjoyed going to the beach, attending
Church of Our Lady of Victory, watching movies and football. They
enjoyed going to Gearhart, OR to have dinner at their favorite
restaurant, Great Wall Chinese. But you can’t forget he loved having
a little KFC and bowl of clam chowder from Norma’ Seafood. He
loved spending time with his family, grandchildren and great
grandchildren. Michael could always make you laugh either by a
joke, silly saying (“Whottie -who”) or funny dance. He will be truly
missed by all!
He is survived by his beloved wife, Caroline of nine years; his sister
Jo Ann; brothers Ron and David; his daughter, Angela, from his earlier
marriage to Charlene; his daughters Christine and Mikelle
from his marriage to Jan as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mike‘s dear sister, Donna, passed away 20 years ago from ALS.

Arrangements for celebration of life will be posted here once a day
and location have been scheduled. Please check back on this site for
